Betsy Helmuth
Betsy is the owner of Modern Interior Design and a nationally celebrated interior designer. She has appeared on the Today Show, HGTV, DIY Network, CBS, NBC, and in dozens of magazines and newspapers. She is an author, hosts a weekly podcast, and teaches aspiring interior designers to build their own businesses in the Uploft Design Academy.

I had a dream of improving the lives of New Yorkers but was not sure how to do that with an art background. Watching interior design TV shows showed me that you can transform the way someone lives with artistic expertise. That has been so powerful for me.
I love creating designs that are pretty as well as practical. Getting to know my clients and understanding their lifestyles allows me to create spaces that function first and wow second.
I am a true crime junkie. When I am not designing, I am listening to crime podcasts, reading true crime books, and watching documentaries.
